For each long-term goal, set up to three sub-goals for the semester that will help you to achieve your long-term goal.

Note: These sub-goals do not necessarily need to add up to mean that you achieve your long term goal by the end of the term. For example you may set a long term goal to swim the English Channel... but if you're just starting out on this journey then your sub goals for the next 3 months could be along the lines of ;

  1. enroll in swimming lessons to learn how to swim,

  2. swim 100m unaided,

  3. swim for 20 minutes without taking a rest.

Hint: Do you have at least one academic goal? Do you have any non-academic goals? Do you have social goals? Do you have goals for your health and wellbeing?
