PUNCTUATION

1. In English all the sentences begin with CAPITAL LETTERS and finish with a period, (.), exclamation mark (!) or question mark (?).

 

Example:

She studies law at university.       Not    she studies law at university

2. At the moment of using contractions (isn’t / aren’t / I’ll ) you should use the Key marked with the question mark in your keyboard or use the ASCII code ALT+39.

 

 

 

Example:

She isn’t at home. (Correcta)

She isn´t at home. (Incorrecta)

She isn`t at home. (Incorrecta)

 

 3. It is not recommended to leave more than one space between words or before periods, exclamation marks or question marks.

 

 

Example:

Roger went_ _ for a walk in the evening_. (Incorrecta)

Roger went for a walk in the evening. (Correcta)
